Terms of Service

By commissioning me you are agreeing to the following terms:

Payment

  • All payment shall be in paid in Euro.

  • Payment is due in full after the sketch is agreed upon for all commission equal to or below 500€.

  • For anything over 500€, a portion can be transferred after the work had begun. The deadline for the final payment will be set individually with a client, but failure to deliver the payment before said deadline means no more work will be done on the commission

Refunds and Cancelling

  • If you wish to cancel your commission during the sketch stage before the rendering had begun, you will be refunded 50% of the price. This makes sure that my labour costs of searching references, research and doing the sketching work are covered.

  • If you wish to cancel your commission after the sketching stage, there will be no refund.

  • No returns can be issued once the work had already been done. This includes works in progress. If I don't receive payment in full after an agreed upon date I am not obligated to finish the commission.

  • You’ll receive a full refund if I’m unable to finish the commission for any unjustifiable reason.

General Guidelines

  • Please include a good description of what you have in mind. I do not require you provide your own references, but the more info you give me the better. For example, for character commissions - face claims, important colors, desired elements, lists of relevant symbols and narrative beats, character backstory and current state, even relevant music - these are all viable bits of information that i would like to have if you can provide it. Understand that for the needs of composition and clarity i may not include everything, but the more i have to work with the more freedom i have to make something visually interesting.

  • I can draw: OCs, portraits of real people, nudity, NSFW, artistic gore, item designs, page décor, pattern design, frames, still life compositions, landscapes, artistic interpretations of photo material (assuming you have the rights to it)

  • I will NOT draw: mechas and furries (I'm not skilled in those), porn including real people or any kind of hate speech.

  • I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason.

  • The final product is digital. Furthermore, the final product will be sent via DMs or email and no physical version of the product will be mailed. Larger commissions may be shared through an online drive.

Copyright

Personal Use

Commissioned Artworks (such as character designs, character illustrations, item design etc.)
are, generally, for personal use only, and cannot be distributed and/or reproduced for financial
gain.

  • You are not allowed to change or overpaint the commissioned artwork, but you may contact me again if the work needs updates, for an additional fee.

  • You cannot use the Commission you receive for financial gain.

  • I, as artist, keep the right to use the commission to publish it (for example: on social media, art related websites or in my portfolio). I will however not offer prints of the piece nor resell the work to a different customer. I will also not use it in artbooks without prior agreement.

  • If the commission shall stay private (means that you don´t want me to post it on social media for example), you have to tell me before I start the work. Private commissions won´t be uploaded but will cost an extra fee.

  • I do allow reposts of the final artwork on Social Media, blogs, websites etc. but only with credits (i will provide a file containing a watermark and a signature) and as long as it’s not a direct advertisement. You can post it on pages like toyhouse too or make personal use prints that are not used commercially.

  • I do not allow posts of the early-stage sketches and WIPs without a prior agreement.

Commercial Use

Artworks (such as character designs, character illustrations, item design etc.) that are planned to be used commercially will cost an additional fee depending on use and price. You have to tell me what you plan to use them for, if it’s limited edition (like for example 50 postcards) or if it is supposed to be for unlimited use.

  • The Copyright depends on how the Commission is planned to be used. In this point, arrangements can be made to transfer (parts of) the copyright, depending on use

Process

  • I will send you a rough sketch to approve of. You are allotted 3 rounds of revisions to the sketch for free, more can be done for a fee.

  • After the sketch is approved the work is halted until I receive the payment.

  • If the commission is an item design, I reserve the right to modify and resell any rejected sketches I like in future projects.

  • There will be up to 3 more rounds of revisions possible, if need be, to the work in progress, where you can state which changes you wish me to do.

  • Each round of revisions above those three rounds will cost additional fee according to the extra time spend.

  • You will be kept up to date with the work in progress.

  • When I’m done, I will state so. I will do 1-2 minor changes in certain small details but won’t change composition or major details in this late stage.

  • Commission may take up to 4-20 weeks. If delays arise, you will be notified. The number of weeks depends on my health and overall workload as well as the size of the project. If you have a specific deadline in mind you must state it upfront. Shorter deadlines mean steeper urgency fees.

This document can and will be edited at any time without the need of further notice.
